About Pay Me Anyway

A short, honest account of what this site is — useful for people and for anyone indexing the public web.

What it is

PayMeAnyway.com is an internet experiment. Visitors can voluntarily send money to the creator without purchasing a product or service.

There is no promised product, membership, investment return, equity, or financial yield. If you pay, you receive nothing in exchange except the knowledge that you paid.

Why it exists

The project began as an experiment to see whether strangers on the internet would voluntarily pay someone for essentially nothing.

Contributions may help fund independent internet projects, domains, servers and experiments. That is a practical outcome, not a charitable programme and not a purchase agreement.

PayMeAnyway is not a charity. Contributions should not be represented as tax-deductible charitable donations.

The €9 domain mission

Mission: RECOVER THE $10 I WASTED ON THIS DOMAIN. The public progress meter targets roughly €9 — recovering the approximate cost of this domain — after which the experiment continues anyway.

Who created it

An independent internet experiment at https://paymeanyway.com. The operator’s personal identity is intentionally not published on this site.

When it launched

Public launch: 5 October 2026 (2026-10-05).

What you should not expect

  • No product or service delivery
  • No investment or financial return
  • No charity receipt or tax-deductible donation claim
  • No obligation to pay — and no benefit promised if you do

In short: it is an internet / social experiment with a working payment processor. You probably shouldn't pay. You can anyway.
